Authenticating Using VPN

For remote workers, all university computers are required to authenticate on the Rider network every 90 days to keep the Windows and MS Office licenses active.

  • For MAC users this is required for MS Office only.

To authenticate on the Rider network, you need to connect to the Rider VPN using the Cisco AnyConnect  Secure Mobility Client software by following the steps below.  If you do not have the Cisco AnyConnect software installed you can download it HERE. Please note your browser will need to be logged in to your Rider Google account to download the software.

  1. Launch the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.  Enter the server name vpn.rider.edu and click connect. 

 

 

  1. You will be asked for Username and Password, this will be your Rider Key user ID and Password

 

 

  1. Confirmation you are connected
