Professors can email their class via myRider if their Canvas Course has not yet been published

Overview

This article goes over how to email classes in myRider before a Canvas Course has been published. This can be done for whole classes without having to search and add each individual student to the email. 

Steps

Login to your myRider account at https://myrider.rider.edu. Click on the "Faculty" tab at the left hand side of the page. 

 

Under the section titled Advising Tool (which is in the middle of the page), click in the button titled "Student Profile and Class List".

 

Select the class list option.

 

Choose the semester of the course you wish to view.

 

In the right hand corner, enter the CRN number for the corresponding course. Then choose the course listed.

 

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and check if there is more than one. If there is more than one page (like shown below), change it to 100 rows per page.

Select all students by checking off the box on the left-hand side. Then click on the Email button icon. The names will then be populated within your native email client.
