Changes to your Alumni account

In 2018, Rider University began offering our "Email for Life" benefit to alumni allowing you to retain your email account.

Because Google provided unlimited storage, we also allowed you to retain access to the Google Drive app for storing files. However, last year Google announced that they will no longer be providing unlimited storage for educational institutions free of charge. Due to this financial impact, and other factors (security, licensing, etc), we will be discontinuing Drive file storage for Alumni and moving to an "email only" model on March 18th 2022. Please note that you will still be able to use your rider email account and contacts, but all other Google Workspace applications will no longer be available. What you must do If you wish to keep files you have stored in Drive, you must retrieve them prior to March 18th. If you don't have a lot of data, you can download individual files. or you can Transfer your Content to a personal Gmail account If you don't have a personal Gmail account, you can download all of your files to a computer, using Google Takeout If you do not download or transfer your files before March 18th, they will be deleted permanently, and even Rider OIT staff will not be able to retrieve them. We do hope you will stay in touch with us by using your email account as well as joining Rider Connect, an online community for networking with alumni and students.  Please visit and register today.   If you have any questions, please contact
