Signing up for and updating information for Rider Alerts

For Students: We use the information in MyRider to drive the data that is utilized by RiderAlert, the system which alerts you in case of a campus emergency or weather-related closing. What this means is that each student will now be signed up for RiderAlert automatically.

 

Address, phone and emergency contact information update instructions:

 

Access MyRider at myrider.rider.edu and log-in using your RIDER KEY Login.

 

Click on the Student Tab. Under My Personal Information, found on the lower left-hand side, you will see the options to View/Update Address, View/Update Phone Numbers, and View/Update Emergency Contacts. Please review all addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contact data.

 

 

View/Update Address:

 

Update an existing address by selecting the “Current” link next to the corresponding address. Insert a new address by choosing the address type from the list and selecting submit

 

Note: If your permanent address has changed, please notify the Dean of Students office (deanofstudents@rider.edu or 609 896-5103) if you have a sibling at Rider, spouse or parent whose address is also changing.

 

 

 

 View/Update Phone Numbers:

 

 

 

View/Update Emergency Contacts:

 

In the event of an emergency, the University will contact a student’s parent, guardian, or spouse. This form should be used only to identify additional emergency contacts other than parent, guardian or spouse. Please contact the Dean of Students office at (609) 896-5103 to make changes to parent information.

 

Note: that students now have the ability to provide email addresses for their emergency contacts.
